Congratulations to Devarsh Shah '25 for being 1 of just 10 students nationwide selected to represent Illinois at the 2025 Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration National Leadership Forum! While in Washington, D.C., Devarsh presented innovative solutions to combat the opioid crisis in West Garfield Park—one of Chicago’s hardest-hit neighborhoods. He also met with Illinois Senators Dick Durbin & Tammy Duckworth to advocate for Naloxone access, community education, and policy reforms to address rising overdose rates. This summer, he’ll take his advocacy even further, presenting his work on a national stage in Nashville.
