Redemptorist Center Social Services was founded in 1986. "Preventing a temporary crisis from becoming a permanent tragedy." The mission of Redemptorist Social Services Center is to prevent a temporary crisis from becoming a permanent tragedy. The Center's programs of assistance stabilize individuals, families and neighborhoods, with long-term results benefiting the entire community. Redemptorist Center works to assure the immediate survival of the low income and aging populations in metropolitan Kansas City, to help prevent anyone from becoming or staying homeless, to minister to the physical, social and economic needs of the individuals in the area served, and to seek long-range solutions to the problems of hunger and poverty.

Redemptorist Center Redemptorist Center For many individuals its just the beginning of another day of struggle. For the recently disabled or unemployed it is a new way of life as they learn how to navigate a system they never thought they would need. Their limited income is immediately consumed with the basic needs of survival for themselves and their familiesshelter utilities and food. Many of the Centers clients are the working poor who live so close to the edge of poverty that a minor obstacle such as a car breakdown can lead to a downward financial spiral thats impossible to reverse.
