Somerville Civic League The Somerville Civic League was founded in 1919 by Dr. Mary Gaston. The Civic League was well known for its work for the community at large in beautification and helping those in need. That work continues today along with providing scholarships supporting other nonprofit groups and community projects.

New Jersey State Federation of Womens Clubs
Last week we went to a Know & Tell training course at the NJSFWC Headquarters in New Brunswick. The program was given by the NJ children’s Alliance, who train adults on recognizing, preventing and reporting child abuse. We learned quite a bit and that the NJCA along with the Somerset Prosecutors office is having a fundraiser later this month.
