Grow Portland supports schools and communities by facilitating hands-on garden experiences that foster connections to food, nature and each other. We lead school-day programming and help steward food producing gardens and outdoor learning spaces. Grow Portland is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing affordable access to the outdoors and environmental education utilizing school-based gardens. Our mission is to foster vibrant and productive learning gardens, engaging the entire school community.

As part of our Winter Bird lessons this month our students are going on bird walks around their school campuses learning bird calls and making nests. We love to spot birds in the wild with them and leave behind birdseed as a thank you. Want to hear more.
