Rivers Coalition – Stop the Dishcharges

The St. Lucie River faces extreme danger from polluted water coming from Lake Okeechobee. The River Coalition aims to stop this pollution and save the river. Our mission is to speak out, get involved and raise awareness because we believe kids should have a voice in the future of our rivers. Our mission is to fight for a safe, healthy and ecologically balanced St. Lucie River Estuary and Indian River Lagoon, natural resources that are vital to the economy and quality of life of Martin County and the Treasure Coast.

The River Kidz checked out a favorite spot in the southern IRL today. We were all thrilled to see signs of recovery! 🌱 We reported this sighting to the Eyes on Seagrass project with @floridaseagrant and you can too! Check out your favorite spot (in participating counties) and report on their online form, it’s quick and easy. Even if you dont find seagrass, that’s important information for the project to collect!
