Our upcoming exhibit, "Pet Portraits: Then and Now," kicks off with a contest to help support two area animal shelters: the Tri-Lakes Humane Society and North Country SPCA. Each shelter has submitted a dog to be featured on our exhibit banner!⁠ ⁠ You can comment below to vote for:⁠ -Baxter: An 8-year-old Boxer mix, he's been at the North Country SPCA in Elizabethtown for two years.⁠ ⁠ -Hattie: Around 3.5 years old, full of energy, and an absolute lovebug, she's been at the Tri-Lakes Humane Society in Saranac Lake for a long time.⁠ ⁠ The winner will be announced on June 12! We hope this contest will help both Hattie and Baxter find their forever homes.⁠ ⁠ "Pet Portraits: Then and Now" opens August 13, featuring historic Saranac Lake pets from our collection. You can sponsor your current pet to be displayed on banners on the fence outside of the museum.
