TasCOSS is the peak body for the community services industry in Tasmania. We advocate on behalf of Tasmanians experiencing poverty, inequality and exclusion. TasCOSS is the peak body for the community services industry in Tasmania. We advocate to challenge and change the systems, behaviours and attitudes that create poverty, inequality and exclusion to ensure all Tasmanians can live a good life. TasCOSS supports the community services industry in two ways. Through community sector development work we help community service organisations enhance their efficiency and effectiveness and their ability to work together cohesively and collaboratively. As a peak body we also support the industry by advocating on its behalf, we support Tasmanians living on low incomes and disadvantaged communities through consultation and advocacy, and we work to coordinate community and industry advocacy efforts in ways that contribute to creating a Tasmania which is free of poverty and inequality.
