Assisting with the education of young Nagas in honour & memory of all who fought & died in WWII Battle of Kohima 1944 #education #scholarships #battleofkohima We fundraise to provide educational scholarships to young people of Nagaland, in order to repay the debt of honour owed to the Naga People for their unstinting help to the British 2nd Division & other British Army units during the Battle of Kohima 1944 The purpose of the Trust is to provide educational assistance to the young people of Nagaland, India. Founded in 2004 by the veterans of the battle of Kohima , the charity provides scholarships to children aged 14 -18; runs basic healthcare clinics in outlying villages; organises writing competitions and a bi-annual literature award for Naga writers.

Home - Kohima Educational Trust The purpose of the trust is to provide educational assistance to the young people of Nagaland India. As the veterans planned their final reunion in 2004 they resolved to found the Kohima Educational Trust KET as a debt of honour to the Naga people. The trust is seen by its founders both as a means of sustaining the memory of the courage and sacrifice of those who fought and died in the battle and of honouring the Nagas who were their allies in the war through assisting the education of succeeding generations of Naga children.
