Founded in London in 1943, the ABS promotes friendly relations between Brazil and Britain while increasing people’s knowledge of Brazil and its culture. The Anglo-Brazilian Society is a non-profit organisation, founded in 1943, that has a dual function to promote the friendly exchange of cultures between Brazil and the UK and to support charitable projects in Brazil. The Society organises cultural and social events during the year and fundraises for Brazilian good causes.

Anglo-Brazilian Society AngloBrazilian Society Promoting Brazilian Culture Since 1943 Home The Story of the AngloBrazilian Society The AngloBrazilian Society was established in London in 1943 to promote close and friendly relations between Brazil and Britain and to help increase Britains knowledge and understanding of Brazil and its culture and heritage. The AngloBrazilian Society welcomes the participation of anyone with an interest in or love for Brazil regardless of their nationality. The Societys Honorary President is the Ambassador of Brazil to the United Kingdom His Excellency Antonio de Aguiar Patriota and the Embassy of Brazil where the Society has its offices gives the organisation its full support. The current chair of the AngloBrazilian Society is Cristina Cortes who is supported by the Members of the Council and Trustees.
