Fit in 42 Fundraiser May 31st – June 2, 2025 Two years ago, Dulce McMillon and Ryann McMillon, along with the coaches at Fit In 42, set out to raise awareness and funds for Shelter From The Storm by running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours. Running a total of 2 full marathons; 48 miles, in 2 days.  We were blown away by the outpouring of support from our community. With your help we were able to raise close to $10,000! it has been decided to make this an annual event due to the overwhelming success and support it brought to Shelter From The Storm and our overall community! The Third Annual 4x4x48 event will be held on Saturday, May 31st through Monday, June 2, 2025. Our biggest mission for the Annual 4x4x48 is, first and foremost, to spread awareness about intimate partner domestic violence in our community and those enduring in silence to know that there is help, there are resources, and there is hope! Abused survivors might remain silent and stay in a violent household for many reasons, including fear of judgment, fear of punishment, or the shame that comes from being abused. It is important that they know when they are ready that there is help available to them. Shelter From The Storm is that safe haven for many abused survivors in the Coachella Valley. Shelter From The Storm currently, operates an emergency crisis domestic violence shelter house with 20 beds, however, our goal is to expand our Community Counseling Center Main Office by obtaining property to build upon to help even more survivors of intimate partner domestic violence. We want to provide more resources and support to those living in violent homes. In order to do this and more, we need your help. Click on the link below to help Shelter From The Storm, Inc.
