Need of Aid is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization founded by the SLCPA, Lodge 111 of the Fraternal Order of Police in 2019. Need of Aid, was established as a 501(c)(3) foundation in 2019. Need of Aid was established to help provide emergency financial assistance to St. Louis County Police Department officers, professional staff and their immediate family members who have suffered a traumatic injury, illness or other unforeseen hardship. The foundation provides these members with an unrestricted check to use for whatever way they need during this difficult and unexpected time. In addition, the foundation can organize meals or provide anything else that might be helpful to the individuals or their families.
