The Kids of 216 is a 10-week vocational training cohort that prepares at-risk youth for work in the trades by completing inner-city residential and community projects; students are transitioned to full-time employment through viable job skill training and advanced life skills curriculum to become active and engaged members of the community. The purposes of this organization are meant to address high school graduation and the pursuit of higher education and job placement, as well as issues regarding community deterioration, unemployment, and juvenile delinquency.
