🚨 FOSTERS NEEDED ASAP 🚨 We have three tiny lives depending on us.. a single newborn kitten and a pair of siblings, all under a week old 🐱💕 They were just pulled from local municipal shelters and are currently being bottle-fed every 2–3 hours (yes, including overnight!) They urgently need a foster home to thrive 🍼💤 💡 Never done this before? No worries! We’re happy to train you! These babies are eating strongly and doing well so far, but they need YOU to make it through this critical time. We’re not even halfway through kitten season, and the need will only grow. Please consider opening your home and heart 💖 Text 409-797-6248 if you can help 🙏 (fb)

Meet Major: Your Next Adventure Buddy! Major is a handsome 3-year-old neutered male German Shepherd Dog mix with a beautiful sleek black coat that turns heads wherever he goes. This playful and intelligent companion has an exciting personality that matches his high energy level (7-10 on the energy scale). He's the perfect partner for active individuals or families who enjoy outdoor activities and have plenty of time to engage with a smart, enthusiastic dog. Major is known for being smart, playful, and has a wonderful zest for life that's contagious. With his intelligence, he's likely to pick up training quickly and would thrive with mental stimulation through training games and puzzle toys.Major has passed all handling tests, including tail tug, face pets, and full body handling, showing he's comfortable with human touch. With a reactivity score of 1 and a jumpy/mouthy score of 2, he demonstrates excellent manners for a high-energy dog. Major came to the shelter as a stray on March 25, 2025, and has been waiting for his forever home for over 60 days. He is currently at the Galveston County Animal Resource Center in Texas City, TX. While he hasn't yet been tested with other dogs or cats, his low reactivity score suggests he could potentially do well with proper introductions. His heartworm status is currently unknown, but the shelter can provide more information about any necessary treatments. If you're looking for a loyal, energetic companion who will keep you active and entertained, Major could be your perfect match! Come meet this stunning shepherd mix and see if he's the one for you!For more information about adopting, fostering, or rescuing Major, please contact the Galveston County Animal Resource Center at 409-948-2485 or email arc@gchd.org.
