The Tarrant County Employee Appreciation Picnic was held on Thursday,at the Historic Courthouse in Downtown Fort Worth. This annual event is organized to recognize and thank Tarrant County employees for their dedication and service. It featured food, entertainment, and opportunities for employees to engage with various departments and community organizations. The Tarrant County Master Gardener Association (TCMGA) participated by selling plants and caladium bulbs. Volunteers assisted with setup, managing sales, and providing gardening advice throughout the event. We were also joined at the booth by representatives from Goodwill North Central Texas, who operate the S.T.A.R.S. (Skills Training Achieves Results) program. This initiative supports adults with significant disabilities and includes horticultural training provided by TCMGA volunteers through their GreenWorks Learning Center.
