The goal of Boricua Activate is to empower Puerto Ricans on the mainland to protect and advance their interests, before the federal government. Our mission is twofold: We empower youth and adults by teaching advocacy fundamentals and effective storytelling skills, and how they can be used lifelong to create positive change in their communities and beyond. We also seek to improve the everyday lives of people living in Puerto Rico by amplifying the voice of the Puerto Rican Diaspora on the mainland. Since we were founded in 2017 our work has evolved and we are now dedicated to educating, informing, and providing the tools and resources necessary to amplify Latino and other underserved community voices to improve quality of life and close equity gaps.

BoricuActivatEd mourns the passing of our friend, Congressman Raúl Grijalva @repraulgrijalva. He was a fearless advocate for the rights of immigrants, for economic justice and for the need to protect our climate. As the chairman of the House Natural Resources Committee, he stood up and spoke out time and again for the interests of Puerto Rico.
