Equipping Catholics to live out the Great Commission The Evangelical Catholic grew out of a group of Catholic college students in Madison, WI who desired to study the Scriptures, share fellowship with each other, and praise and worship God. Founder Tim Kruse, a former evangelical Pastor turned Catholic, had been trained well as an evangelical in how to meet this need. At their request he and his wife Sandy formed a weekly fellowship of students that thrived throughout the nineties. Out of this vibrant community came the vision and leadership for an organization that could teach Catholics the tools they needed to effectively evangelize, establish, and equip Catholics to live fulfilling lives and serve the Church fruitfully. The Evangelical Catholic works closely with St. Paul's University Catholic Center in Madison, WI in their small Christian community, large group gathering, and weekly discipleship and leadership training ministries. Through our web site, materials, conferences, evangelization training camps, as well as onsite presentations, we offer the same formation and training to people from all corners of the United States, as well as some abroad.
