This is the Marine Corps League Det. 729 based out of Louisville KY. We are the hard chargers of Marine Corps League, Kentuckiana Detachment #729 based out of Louisville KY A Non-profit 501 (C)(3) KENTUCKIANA DETACHMENT #729 of the Marine Corps League is a Louisville, Kentucky based IRS 501 (c) (3) organization which supports our local community, and Veterans in anyway we are able. Our membership is comprised of Marines both active and formerly active duty, FMF Navy Corpsman and Chaplain's as well as associate members which do not fall within one of the 3 categories. We currently support the following activities:1. Last Detail – is a program in which we Honor fallen Marines at their funeral visitation service. Our program is directed strictly for Marines. Preformed at the request of the families.2. Honors Detail – is a program in which we perform a rifle salute at the graveside of members of our Armed Forces, upon request of the families. 3. Donations to individual Armed Forces members both active and formerly active when special needs arise.4. Marine Corps Jr. R.O.T.C. - help support 4 local High School programs in the area with donations and purchase of annual awards for their Cadets. (Fern Creek, Seneca, Jeffersontown and Shelby County)5. Boy Scouts – present an award to every Eagle Scout in our area that requests it, honoring their commitment.
