The purpose of the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley shall be to promote the welfare of the animals within greater Washington County, Ohio in the following manner: ​Provide a safe haven for stray, lost and /or abused animals through operating an animal shelter.

ASAP works with San Luis Obispo County Animal Services to reduce unnecessary euthanasia at the county animal shelter.
