The purpose of the chartering organization (Harvard Boy Scouts, Inc, or HBSI) is to promote Scouting within the Town of Harvard, Massachusetts This entails fostering, encouraging and promoting the principles and ideals that come from the Boy Scouts of America HBSI serves as the umbrella organization for the respective Boy Scout and Cub Scout troops in town It is HBSI that owns and maintains the property and equipment required to conduct these Scouting activities Welcome to Troop 1.
