THE OGANIZATION IS A GRASS ROOTS ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO THE PROTECTION, PRESERVATION AND CONSERVATION OF A UNIQUE NATURAL RESOURCE THAT WAS CREATED IN THE SUMMER OF 2002 WHEN THE FLOOD WATERS OF CANYON LAKE RACED OVER THE EMERGENCY SPILLWAY, RIPPING OPEN THE EARTH TO EXPOSE A GEOLOGIC WONDER FOR BOTH AMATEUR AND PROFESSIONAL GEOLOGISTS.
