SSISTAHFRIENDS PRIMARY MISSION AND PURPOSE IS TO HELP BLACK WOMEN, WOMEN OF COLOR AND THEIR FAMILIES AND LOVED ONES OVERCOME POSTTRAUMATIC STRESS, GRIEF AND LOSS, DEPRESSION, ANXIETY, AND SUBSTANCE USE AND ABUSE RESULTING FROM HEALTH DISPARITIES AND INEQUITIES, RACISM, SOCIO-ECONOMIC CASTIGATION RACIAL AND ETHNIC TRAUMA, DISCRIMINATION, OPPRESSION, SOCIETAL CONDEMNATION, COMMUNITY VIOLENCE, ISOLATION, AND FEAR THROUGH MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING, THERAPY, CRISIS INTERVENTION, PEER ADVOCACY AND SUPPORT SO THAT THEY MAY LIVE A LIFE OF JOY, PEACE, AND FULFILLMENT.
