THE SWEET PEA FOUNDATION WAS FORMED TO ACHIEVE THREE GOALS: 1) TO ESTABLISH AN ANNUAL CONTRIBUTION FUND TO THE RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE OF INDIANA, 2) TO SUPPORT ORGANIZATIONS ALREADY ESTABLISHED IN HOSPITALS THAT PROVIDE CARE AND ENTERTAINMENT FOR SICK CHILDREN, AND 3) TO ESTABLISH A RELATIONSHIP WITH HOSPITALS AND ORGANIZATIONS IN SMALLER COMMUNITIES THAT ARE CARING FOR SICK CHILDREN.

Penney Richards died tragically in a motorcycle accident on November 19th, 2009 at the age of twenty-five.
