THE MICHIGAN STREET PRESERVATION CORPORATION HAS LAUNCHED A CAMPAIGN TO REDEVELOP AND RESTORE THE HISTORIC NEIGHBORHOOD AROUND THE NASH HOUSE, WHICH INCLUDES THE MICHIGAN STREET BAPTIST CHURCH (BUILT IN 1845), THE SITE OF THE FORMER LITTLE HARLEM SUPPER CLUB, THE COLORED MUSICIANS CLUB, AND THE NUMEROUS DWELLINGS THAT MADE UP THE ONCE THRIVING COMMUNITY.

TO WORK WITH LIONS CLUBS AND OTHER COMMUNITY GROUPS TO PROVIDE SERVICES FOR THE DISADVANTAGED WITH THE EMPHASIS ON HELPING UNINSURED AND UNDERINSURED MICHIGAN RESIDENTS TO OBTAIN AFFORDABLE MEDICAL CARE AND SERVICES, ESPECIALLY FOR THE TREATMENT OF SIGHT AND HEARING ISSUES.
