The Mission of the Virginia State Firefighters Association is to serve its FIRE and EMS members, Member companies, and the citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia by: Promoting, advocating, coordinating, and representing their interests in the performance of providing Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Medical Services, Environmental Emergencies and other emergency response services; Supporting and promoting the health, safety and welfare of firefighters and EMS providers; Promoting the extension and preservation of the Fire and EMS profession with integrity; Representing the Fire and EMS community at all levels of government; Recommending and enhancing fire prevention activities in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
