Calcasieu Historical Preservation Society CHPS Mission The mission of the Calcasieu Historical Preservation Society CHPS is to encourage the preservation of historical buildings objects and places relating to the history of Louisiana and Calcasieu Parish including its natural beauty and all that is distinctive to our state.

Cascade Mycological Society

To organize and staff the annual Mount Pisgah Arboretum in Eugene, Oregon; to provide undergraduate and graduate scholarships to mycology students; to organize monthly mycology speaker series at the Amazon Community Center in Eugene, Oregon; to assist Lane Community College with mycology educational programs such as mushroom identification and microscopy classes, to organize regular mushrooms forays (field trip) in Oregon to promote mycology education and awareness; to support mycology-related educational programming at elementary and middle schools in Eugene, Oregon; to provide grants and scientific expertise to support local mycoremediation projects (environmental cleanup projects that use fungi to concentrate and remove pollutants from the environment).
