The Problem EVERY 2 SECONDS A FOSTER CHILD IS TAKEN OUT OF THE HOME 74 OF ALL PRISONERS WERE FOSTER CARE CHILDREN 80 OF PRISONERS ON DEATH ROW WERE FOSTER CARE CHILDREN 100 OF PRISONERS ON DEATH ROW WERE FATHERLESS OR HAD AN ABSENT FATHER THERE IS A 70 CHANCE THAT FEMALES AGING OUT OF THE FOSTER CARE SYSTEM WILL BE PREGNANT BY THE TIME THEY ARE 21 YEARS OLD THERE IS A 64 CHANCE THAT MALES AGING OUT OF THE FOSTER CARE SYSTEM WILL BE IN PRISON OR DEAD PRISONS DETERMINE THE EXPECTED NUMBER OF FUTURE PRISONERS BY LOOKING AT HOW MANY KIDS ARE CURRENTLY IN THE FOSTER CARE SYSTEM NATIONAL FOSTER YOUTH INSTITUTE ESTIMATES UP TO 60 OF CHILD SEX TRAFFICKING VICTIMS ARE OR HAVE BEEN IN FOSTER CARE Purpose We will provide a home to atrisk teens in the foster care system.
