Bloomington Historical Society
It is the mission of the Society to collect and preserve the many artifacts, photographic images, memorabilia and life stories of the several ancient cultures and hundreds of generations that have inhabited the Bloomington area in the Minnesota River Valley over thousands of years of history, from the retreat of the glaciers to the settlements of the 1800s-1900s when this Minnesota River bluff top oak-savannah prairie was transformed into a community of 86,000 residents.
