The Black Heritage Museum of Arlington was founded to celebrate the African American journey to freedom in Arlington County.

Arlington Pediatrics Center, now called VHC Pediatrics, opened its doors in 2001 as a community benefit program of Virginia Hospital Center with the mission of providing quality, compassionate medical care to children birth through 18 years of age living in low-income families in Arlington who do not otherwise have access to health care.
