During this phase ofthe organization, the primary mission is to raise the funds necessary to renovate the historic balboa theatre originally built in 1927, the theatre has a past that includes an amusement arcade, vaudeville theatre, and a classic film theatre the theatre was once the cult ural centerpiece for historic downtown balboa once construction is complete, the newly renovated theatre will be used for cult ural events forthe community .
