The purpose of the Friends of the Library is to support equipment acquisition, library staff and library programs as needed for the Friendswood Texas public library and its employees that would otherwise not be in the City of Friendswood budget for the library.

Texas Garden Clubs Inc

The purpose of this club shall be: to stimulate interest in gardening; to operate on a non-profit basis solely for benevolent charitable scientific and educational purposes conducive to the well-being of the community and useful to the public; to aid in the protection and conservation of natural resources; to advance the fine art of gardening landscape design and the study of horticulture and floriculture; to promote youth through the involvement and sponsorship of young gardeners; to promote general civic improvement in the Friendswood community reflecting its heritage; to continue interest in a garden center; and finally to restrict the activities of the organization so that it shall not be used or operated for private profit of any member or special group or be used for any other purposes other than those listed.

The primary purpose of the James Glenn Foundation is to raise scholarship funds for graduating seniors at the three Clear Creek ISD High Schools by conducting the Summer Kick-Off Fun Run.
