The Tegla Loroupe Peace Organization was formed in 2006 to support efforts to bring peace to a turbulent area of north Kenya encompassing hundreds of thousands of square kilometers of prairie and high desert, home to dozens of nomadic tribes whose way of life depends upon herds of cattle, camels and goats.
