THE VASHON SPORTSMEN'S CLUB WAS FOUNDED IN 1933 FOR EDUCATIONAL, ATHLETIC, AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES - TO ADVANCE AND CONSERVE HUNTING AND FISHING; TO PROMOTE THE SAFE USAGE OF FIREARMS AND MARKSMANSHIP; TO AID IN RESTOCKING OF GAME FISH, BIRDS, AND ANIMALS ON VASHON ISLAND; TO ENCOURAGE THE PRESERVATION OF STREAMS, WILDLIFE, PLANT LIFE, AND THE PREVENTION OF POLLUTION.
