THE LAKEVILLE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT (LVFD) WAS CREATED IN 1973 BY A GROUP OF LOCAL FARMERS AND RANCHERS WHO SAW A NEED FOR FIRE PROTECTION AFTER A LARGE FIRE RIPPED THROUGH THE AREA DESTROYING MANY BUILDINGS.
