The overall purpose of the project is to improve the quality, accessibility and capacity of basic medical and health care, especially maternal and natal care, available to remote communities in the Simien Mountains by working in close partnership with the Zone Health Office, the district hospital, and local health officers to change behaviours in local communities and local health centres.
