Association of North American Laboratories for Protective Equipm

The corporation is devoted to the improvement of the electrical protective equipment testing trade for the purpose of preventing injury to persons or damage to property and equipment by (1) establishing and conducting an accreditation program for laboratories to assure the proper and uniform testing of electrical protective equipment, based on consensus standards; (2) establishing testing standards and rules; (3) disseminating the rules among its members; (4) informing the public of the standards of safety; (5) encouraging legislative standards when appropriate; (6) researching and publishing articles dealing with testing pf PPE; (7) educate public and private companies of the proper use of PPE in the electrical industry.
