Skylar, an Eastern Christian School student, knows she has a passion for teaching and is using this semester to try on her teaching hat. Spending her mornings teaching younger students at another EC campus, she’s helping prepare materials, assisting in instruction, and exercising her classroom management skills. Is this the career she’ll pursue long term? We’ll see! In the meantime, it’s allowed her to see if being in the classroom is how she wants to spend her career. (We love the idea, and pray we may see her back as an EC art teacher one day!) The WINGS program provides EC students an opportunity to explore a career field of their choosing while in high school. Whether our students confirm a passion or discover that it isn't the career for them - it's a valuable experience and a significant step in their post-high school planning.
