We are using the tenets and practices of Tendai Buddhism in our daily lives. California, USA We are organized to: 1) establish & maintain a Buddhist Institute, 2) help sentient beings, 3) support our community. As a community temple, we offer opportunities for everyone to integrate the Tendai Buddhist tenets of wisdom, compassion, and skillful conduct into their lives through Buddhist practice and by following the Path of the Bodhisattva

Home We are a Buddhist temple community practicing the teachingsTendai Buddhismin Cobb California. Tendai Buddhism blends together Indian and Chinese philosophical and religious ideas. Drawing upon the thought of the Indian Buddhist philosopher Ngrjuna c. 150250 CE and the concept of shunyata Tendai Buddhism was founded by Zhiyi 538597 CE a Chinese scholar monk and meditator who lived in the Tiantai mountains in China and transmitted to Japan by a monk named Saich 767822 CE who founded Enryakuji Temple on Mt.
