Continuing our Summer Series of exploration into rarely seen self-portraits, this week we present: "Thomas Kinkade, Untitled, Emergence of Thom the Artist, 1979. " Created during his formative years, this work captures a pivotal moment in Kinkade’s journey—when “Thom the boy” began to give way to “Thom the artist. ” In contrast to last week’s helmeted introspection, this work radiates raw, searching energy.
