ANATOLIAFOUNDATION was founded in 2006 for the principle goal of preserving andsupporting the rich cultural traditions and biological diversity of theAnatolian region of Turkey. The Foundation works with rural communitiesto protect the endangered environment and to promote traditional,artisan skills with sustainable village projects. TheFoundation creates participatory pilot projects with environmentallysound end products. Among other goals, these alternative income sourcesare designed to counter-balance the effects of heavy out-migration todistant cities. The resulting organic and fair trade products help topromote sustainable living in the villages.
