RFCFire And Rescue RFC Fire Rescue on Call Protecting the residents of Northern Michigan Volunteer Fire and Rescue of Northern Michigan RFC Fire And Rescue serves the three townships of Readmond Friendship and Cross Village covering an area of 72. 7 square miles with about 26 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline. Around onethird of the land is state owned and mostly covered by forest. The resident population was recorded as 1778 in the 2017 census.
