We showed up and showed out in California. The California-Hawaii NAACP mobilized 200 members for a powerful Day of Advocacy — uniting voices, sharing our priorities, and demanding equity for our communities. In partnership with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and Black Women Organized for Political Action (BWOPA), we met with state leaders and heard directly from members of the California Legislative Black Caucus and State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond.
