SAVE is an independent non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area. SAVE, A Friend to Homeless Animals is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit shelter and animal welfare organization dedicated to protecting the health and well-being of homeless companion animals in the Greater Princeton Area and beyond. The shelter facility has a capacity for approximately 25 dogs and 75 cats, and helps an average of 800 animals a year. Through its six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Adoption and Humane Education, SAVE strives to substantially reduce animal overpopulation and the corresponding euthanasia of adoptable and treatable animals in our community. We also have a 'Seniors for Seniors' program in which we waive the adoption fee for senior citizens 65+ who adopt a senior+. SAVE endeavors to build, foster, and strengthen the human-animal bond.
