The Breaking Ground Teen Board continued their spring efforts with a grocery event at our Betances Residence this past Sunday. Betances is home to low-income and formerly homeless older adults living on extremely limited fixed incomes. The Teen Board raised funds and came together for a huge volunteer effort on Sunday, packing and distributing over 300 bags of groceries to tenants. They also put together creative menus and recipes that were included with each bag and based on the items available.
