TJ Arts' mission is to support and enhance the performing arts in the schools and communities of West Jefferson Hills School District in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. Our top goals are to: Underwrite the costs of arts enrichment programs: school-based, classroom based, theatrical production-based, and city-based (field trips).Continue the STArts Program, which serves students of financial need and artistic promise.Create and raise money for scholarships and awards in the arts.Create performing arts opportunities for the senior citizens within our communities.Provide opportunities for young people, adults and seniors to perform together, teach one another, and connect creatively with each other, especially exploring giveback opportunities for performing arts alumni to contribute to a more vibrant community.Fund improvements in arts facilities within the communities of WJH.
