Becoming God's peace in our neighborhood, city, and world A community of learning for ministry in the city The mission of City Seminary of New York is to seek the peace of the city through theological education. We endeavor to support individuals (and families) seeking a framework for ministry in the context of the city, particularly for those for whom relocating to attend seminary is not an option or financial means might be an obstacle. While our programs involve and are open to the breadth of church networks and Christian communities across the city, we especially hold a commitment to serve those from new immigrant churches from Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Our approach to theological education is holistic - integrating the arts, spirituality, and place - in formation for ministry and leadership.
