Eating Disorder Coalition of Iowa

The Eating Disorder Coalition of Iowa (EDCI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to spreading awareness, education, and training regarding eating disorders in Iowa communities. Established with a strong mission, EDCI aims to increase access to weight-inclusive education and care for the prevention and treatment of eating disorders across Iowa.

Mission and Vision

Impact and Activities

EDCI has reached over 1,000 community members and trained more than 250 providers. It hosts 2+ events annually and has been supporting Iowans for 14 years. The organization operates virtually throughout Iowa, making its resources accessible statewide.

Training and Education

EDCI offers on-demand courses for professionals to develop their practice in eating disorder treatment. These courses provide opportunities for continuing education (CE/CME) and deepen understanding in the field.

Community Engagement

EDCI encourages community engagement through its events and educational programs. By fostering a supportive environment, it aims to reduce the stigma associated with eating disorders and promote comprehensive care across Iowa.
