The Food Project
The Food Project works to create personal and social change through sustainable agriculture. We believe everyone should have access to fresh, healthy food. “For the love of land and people, for the good of the community.” The Food Project’s mission is to create a thoughtful and productive community of youth and adults from diverse backgrounds who work together to build a sustainable food system. Our community produces healthy food for residents of the city and suburbs, provides youth leadership opportunities, and inspires and supports others to create change in their own communities.

It was lovely seeing everyone Sunday for a dinner to raise funds in support of The Food Project’s work empowering Boston’s urban gardeners. A special thank you to Irene Li, co-founder of Mei Mei Dumplings and Vice Chair of our board, and Cassandria Campbell, co-founder of Fresh Food Generation — and an alumna of The Food Project’s youth development program — for hosting the dinner at the historic Shirley-Eustis Carriage House. We raised $40,200 of our $45,000 goal and we welcome further donations in the coming days to close the $4,800 gap.
