CONGRATULATIONS are in order! At our regularly scheduled monthly meeting on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, five members were granted life membership following a unanimous vote of the membership. Each has achieved this milestone by volunteering for 20 active years of service. Shaun Maher - Joined the Barren Hill Volunteer Fire Company on November 3, 2000. Shaun serves on our Board of Trustees, the apparatus committee, and is a Captain of the Fire Brigade. Ed Swift - Joined the Barren Hill Volunteer Fire Company on February 4, 2000. Ed is a firefighter in the fire brigade and was previously part of the fire brigade leadership team. Jamie Viall - Joined the Barren Hill Volunteer Fire Company on February 7, 2003. Jamie serves on our Board of Trustees and the Fundraising Committee, is in charge of our Fire Prevention activities, and is a Captain of the Fire Brigade. Nancy Lee Walter - Joined the Fire Company in January 1984. Nancy is an administrative member and serves on our Fundraising committee. Scott Yoder - Joined the Barren Hill Volunteer Fire Company on August 4, 1995. Scott serves on our Board of Trustees and the apparatus committee. Scott is our Training Chief, responsible for all training activities, and is an Assistant Chief of the Fire Brigade.
