Resident Advocate District Ombudsman Cindy Tabor Speaks to CNA Class at HCC On May 27, 2025, Resident Advocate District Ombudsman Cindy Tabor spoke to the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) class at Hopkinsville Community College. Tabor’s presentation covered several key topics, including Resident Rights, Elder Abuse Awareness, the three types of volunteers available through the Ombudsman program, the three types of long-term care facilities, and real-world examples of cases and complaints. She also provided an overview of the Pennyrile Area Agency on Aging and Independent Living, along with the various departments within the Pennyrile Area Development District. Tabor shared information and extended an invitation to the upcoming Lunch & Learn for Elder Abuse Awareness, scheduled for June 13, 2025, from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. This event is open to the public, and lunch will be provided. The class was warm and attentive, and Ombudsman Tabor expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to provide community education on these important topics affecting our vulnerable populations.
