Edina Feds WELCOME TO THE Edina Feds Enhancing the lives of women through volunteer service friendship and philanthropy Founded in 1969 by just seven women focused on the betterment of our community the Edina Federated Womens Club EFWC is a part of the General Federation of Womens Clubs GFWC an international organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. 20242025 marks 54 years of the EFWC now comprised of more than 100 exceptional civicminded women including 2 of the original founding members of the club. Over the years weve raised over 1000000 to support local charities. Thank you to Lissa Weimelt from @Maria's Voice for speaking at this month's Fed's meeting. Lissa and her husband started the nonprofit organization, Maria's Voice, a domestic abuse primary prevention education program. Lissa bravely spoke about her lovely daughter, Maria, a summa cum laude college graduate with a loving family who was murdered in her home because she didn't know the signs of domestic abuse or how to get out of the relationship early.

What a fun gathering of feds members and friends at the Charcuterie and Wine party. Thanks to Kathy Frank for hosting at her beautiful home and to party hostesses - Stella Rezac, Chris Garrison, Jill Atkins and Patty Halvorson. Dollars raised benefit Every Meal supporting food insecurity issues at our schools.
